Course Description

Chronic diseases affect nearly every family in Indiana, and Community Health Workers are uniquely positioned to make a difference. This training gives CHWs the knowledge and skills to support prevention, education, and disease management in their communities. From nutrition and diabetes to cardiovascular health, substance use, and the social determinants of health, participants gain practical tools to guide individuals and strengthen healthcare teams. Students leave ready to take the next step on the health coaching career ladder while making a real impact on the lives of Hoosiers.

Course Description

Electronic Health Records (EHRs) are essential tools for modern patient care, but they can feel overwhelming without guided practice. This training offers a safe, hands-on environment where learners build foundational EHR skills using mock patient profiles and real-world scenarios. By the end of the training, students gain the confidence and practical knowledge needed to step into healthcare settings as effective and reliable members of clinical teams.
